Selection Process & Evaluation Criteria
There is no written examination or viva-voce interview for the selection of apprentices under NFR. The merit list is prepared strictly based on the following academic formulas:
- For ITI Trades: Merit is calculated using the average of percentage marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI trade marks. $$ \text{Merit Score} = \frac{\text{Class 10 Percentage} + \text{ITI Marks Percentage}}{2} $$
- For Medical Laboratory Technician Trades: Merit is calculated based on Matriculation marks combined with Class 12 Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) percentages. $$ \text{Merit Score} = \frac{\text{Class 10 Percentage} + \text{Class 12 Science Percentage}}{2} $$
Stipend Structure & Duration
Selected candidates will undergo a 1-year apprenticeship training program. They will receive a monthly stipend as per extant administrative rules:
- Standard minimum stipend for NTC/STC holders: ₹9,600/- per month
- For multi-year curriculums with institutional exemptions, the scale updates to ₹10,560/- (2nd Year) and ₹11,040/- (3rd Year) respectively.
